Utilities Senior Project Manager

To deliver all the relevant power connections across the project. To ensure that we maximise our capability to deliver the Bromford Tunnel power connection by working alongside WPD as they build the Primary Sub Station, so that we can reduce the impact of the Generation Park.

To provide strategic design & delivery management, interface with a multi-disciplinary construction team on constructability for multi-utility diversions with strong leadership and communication skills

What you'll be doing

Core

  • Live the BBV Values

  • Support the delivery of BBV™s Sustainability activities

  • Leads periodic risk reviews and takes output forward to the Project Risk Register

  • Ensure all project wide initiatives and best practice is shared with all teams.

    Health Safety, Environmental and Wellbeing

  • Creates a culture of openness and trust in reporting of Health and Safety matters

  • Report any near misses, observations and best practice using BBV app

  • Carries out periodic Safety and Environmental Tours as required by the SOM

  • Keeps up to date with changes in legislation and cascades information to the team

    Utilities Management

  • Ensure safety in design in factored into all designs and constructability reviews

  • Manage Time, Cost and Quality outputs from utility design and delivery third parties

  • Agree and approve construction and handover deliverables in line with the employers works information and the utility undertakers™ reasonable requirements

  • Review, challenge and accept third party design programme as PM

  • Ensure that the deliverables for construction and handover are mapped out with suitable dates

  • Manage weekly progress meetings with all design & delivery parties and ensure actions are tracked/delivered

  • Manage commercial change process and ensure tracked to closure on CEMAR

  • Identify any unresolved performance/commercial issues for resolution and escalation

Candidate Description

  • Takes ownership of tasks and communicates outcomes with clarity, direction, and purpose, including managing others in this regard.

  • Strong understanding of the principles and buildability of multi utility diversion works

  • Have a good understanding of NRSWA utility diversion legislation

  • Strong work ethic with flexible time management where the project requires

  • Holds a current driving license

  • Working knowledge of the NEC and use of CEMAR administration software/platform

  • Excellent team player, able to work competently and independently without supervision, reports as necessary to update Senior Operations Manager

  • Strong communication skills with track record of solution orientated approach to challenges
