As the Director of UKI Consumer Goods Consulting you will collaborate with Cognizant's country leaders, industry leaders and client partners to grow Cognizant's Consulting business as well as wider Cognizant's business with existing and new clients in Consumer Goods industry. You shall leverage into your existing CxO/middle manager connects in the CG industry.
You will lead multiple engagements where you will demonstrate your ability to lead and deliver large transformational programmes for clients; drive innovation and thought leadership; coach and develop a team. By defining each engagements scope, approach, team, and commercials, you take accountability for time, quality, profitability, and team performance. You will be part of a fast-growing entrepreneurial environment where domain expertise is recognized, developed, and rewarded, well supported by a wider global retail, and consumer goods practice in the UK, US, CE and in APAC., Marketing-Making and Thought Leadership:
Leverage his/her existing network of CPG CxOs/Middle managers in the UK to grow our CPG business
Identify, leads, or oversees the development of customer-facing business solutions and offerings that have an impact on the market
Determine, develop, and deliver innovative strategies and tools to target new and current clients
Align intent with client to identify opportunities to add additional value and accelerate outcomes.
Front face thought leadership and develop solutions for complex client situations to ensure meeting of goals & objectives as well as deliver results on time
Build trust-based client relationships to manage expectations and facilitate client decision-making
Manage the Consulting practice for Consumer Goods Industry for UK&I - people management, delivery management and client engagement
Lead complex end-to-end projects to timely deliver service, revenue, cost and risk improvements in line with project and business objectives of our clients.
Develop and empower team members though formal and informal feedback, readily coaching and mentoring project team and client-side contributors, creating a one team experience
Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of UK&I Consumer Goods consulting practice
Deliver concise and effective communications to clients and internal stakeholders.
Accountable for managing & growing a customer base and sustainable revenue stream
Expand and identify current and new business projects by strengthening client relationships
Develop thought leadership and methodologies in collaboration with international colleagues to build the practice through proactive pitches
Attract, recruit, develop and retain talent
Contribute to building the most exciting and rewarding consulting environment
Ability to manage and execute large strategic deals, proposals and maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities
Extensive years of Industry consulting experience, being a trusted advisor to clients.
Proven experience in mobilising, leading and successfully delivering large transformational client engagements in the UK
Track record of collaboratively growing consulting accounts through expansion/extension
Proven experience in solving critical business issues faced by client through thought leadership
Experience in reputed Consulting firms (if any)
Consulting leadership experience in Consumer Goods
Known in the industry for the thought leadership and white papers specific to Consumer Goods Domain
Have core skills in at least 2-3 areas - Brands /Sales & marketing / Channels/Supply Chain/Manufacturing/Retail Execution
Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills as you will coach and lead both consultants and client-side contributors
Facilitating and driving co-innovation with clients and partners
Ability to manage and execute large strategic deals, proposals and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities
People leadership experience, managing complex and high performing teams
Ability to develop and maintain relationships at the executive level
Flexibility to travel
