As an Environment Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the delivery, maintenance and support of non-production environments within George including supporting the delivery of the transformational Power Up Programme. You will proactively monitor, maintain and govern the environments to provide a consistent and stable platform for project delivery. You will liaise with a wide range of technical and project teams gaining a holistic view of environmental requirements, usage and delivery.

Candidate Description

The George Power Up programme is a large SAP transformation project, so although this is not an SAP only role previous experience in working with SAP would be beneficial.

Your Role

As the Environment Co-ordinator, you would monitor and maintain environments to ensure they remain available, stable and fit current and future requirements, communicate effectively with technical teams to gain an understanding of complex technical solutions before making recommendations or informed decisions on environmental change and impact and analyse environment requirements from project deliverables identifying, planning and coordinating environmental change to meet those requirements within the agreed time and quality constraints.

It is imperative to the role that you develop a strong technical understanding of integrations between applications including any dependencies and support project delivery by troubleshooting and resolving environmental issues with the appropriate level of urgency. You would be responsible for maintaining a library of Environment assets and promote reuse to reduce risks and costs and for the facilitation of meetings with stakeholders & colleagues in Asda technology, Walmart and third parties.

This role will be based out of our Asda or George HQ in Leeds and Lutterworth however, we would be open to other locations providing you would be willing to travel between Leeds and Lutterworth 1-2 days per week.

About You

  • Previous experience in working with environments in delivery or support focused roles.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple functional workstreams, suppliers and time zones

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience within SAP would be beneficial
