A fantastic opportunity has emerged for an Emergency & Temporary Accommodation Placement Team Leader to join one of Adecco Public Sector's leading housing clients in a temporary role for the next six months, with the possibility of extension.

Working 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday), our client is based in Sutton in South London but this role is hybrid working, so you will need to be in their office for only three days each week. Our client is a local authority trading company who primarily supports those with a homelessness need into temporary and then longer-term accommodation.

One of their teams - the Property Management Team - sources temporary accommodation in the borough and beyond to provide for housing placements while households are supported into private rented sector properties or wait for social housing.

This is a busy team of 6 where requests come in on a daily basis and the need to find property placements is always a challenge through existing landlord relationships and seeking out other options.,

  • Look for opportunities to make their systems and processes easier

  • Be able to collate information to compile effective responses to complaints

  • Have an oversight of properties used to ensure relevant certification is in place

  • Undertake team 1 to 1s and reviews

Candidate Description

Previous experience will need to include:

  • Managing a team of at least 4

  • Working in the public or charity sector

  • Working with vulnerable service users

  • Working to contract targets

  • Quick to learn and able to take responsibility

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Strong problem solving skills
