Do you have a passion for writing and content creation? Interested in technology and digital innovation? As technology communications coordinator, you will play an important role in helping us to tell our technology and digital innovation story to the world.

About the role

We are designing and delivering innovative digital experiences for learners, teachers, and researchers globally, supported by world class technology teams. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for creating content for a range of external communications about our exciting digital products and services, the technological support and innovations that underpins it, and the teams making it happen.

Under the direction of the Head of Brand and Communications and leadership of the Head Social Media and Evaluation, and working in close collaboration with other teams around the organisation, you will plan communications that position us as a great place to work for people in technology and digital. You will:

  • write and create bespoke content such as blogs, social media posts, videos and graphics

  • schedule social media posts

  • upload and refresh content on our website

  • promoting opportunities to join our technology and digital teams

  • actively look for opportunities in external and internal news and events to showcase our technological and digital team innovations and achievements

Candidate Description

This role will be a good fit if you have previous experience of working as a communications assistant or similar role. We are also looking for:

  • excellent written English, editing and proof-reading skills

  • excellent attention to detail

  • excellent time management and administrative skills

  • strong technical aptitude - ability to quickly learn new systems/software

  • knowledge of external communications channels

  • knowledge of social media and experience of creating engaging social media content

  • experience of using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.

  • basic photo and video editing skills e.g. Photoshop and iMovie or similar software
