Our client is a well-known building society with headquarters in Swindon; As one of the largest savings and mortgage providers in the UK, 15 million members are at the heart of everything they do.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Technical Jira Support for a 6 Months contract based remotely.

Purpose of the Role:

This Technical Jira Support role has the responsibility to build on levels of engagement and interactions, with a focus for capturing data sets across a wider team as well as infrastructure deployment, patching, and deploying of new VMs.

if you have a previous experience in deployment-related activities this would be the role for you, clarifying and working with an inventory of scripts, requirements will be well instructed however working with generous volumes.

As a Technical Jira Support you will be responsible for:

  • Elicit technical requirements and translate these into functional documents
  • Translate inventories into Jira tickets and create reporting dashboards using Jira and Confluence
  • Creation and maintenance of infrastructure training schedules, comms, and training material
  • Production of functional and non-functional technical requirements, process flows, use cases, and report designs
  • Provide regular/timely updates to projects on progress and issues, including work estimates, slippage, and risks
  • Adherence to practice method and quality standards, aligned to CTO guardrails and standards
  • Participation in knowledge management and skills transfer to minimise key-man dependencies

What we require from the candidate:

  • Experience with Jira ticketing and confluence reporting, (JIRA advanced queries) JQL knowledge is desirable
  • Ability to Automate Jira using built-in or custom scripts to manage volumes
  • Ability to be able to Analyse and present data (from reporting) into dashboards, track multiple checkpoints, send out alerts to subscribers and manage workflow
  • Solid Experience/skills in Office Excel
  • A good understanding of IT infrastructure, Windows Services, Storage, or Networks would be beneficial

This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
