Reporting into the Engineering Chapter Lead, you will be part of the Engineering Chapter, and will work closely with the Engineers, Delivery Leads, Technical SMEs as well as other members on the programme.
What you'll be doing:
You will be working with a team of Solution Architects initially supporting a wide-ranging programme to continue the transformation of our technology estate responsible for technical project definition within the programme, the end-to-end design and supporting our delivery partners. As part of this role, you will
Collaborate with all technology and business leaders, engineers, and other areas of the organisation on alignment with technology strategy, roadmaps, prioritisations and key design decisions for the programme.
Understand delivery breakthroughs and drive collaboration across the stakeholders & technology practices to achieve program delivery targets.
Guide and put in place principles, patterns and designs to support the rationalisation and simplification of solution architectures for the programme
Support governance and provide assurance on key architectural decisions that have impact on the programme
Work with suppliers/partners to optimise value and alignment of their solutions with DLG strategic directions.
Provide guidance and knowledge share on architecture for Engineering Chapter.
Possess strong communication skills; ability to deliver advice and messages to a varied stakeholder group to enable cross-organisational groups of people communicate effectively and resolve problems
Are you a Solution Architect with experience in architecture, design and delivery of complex business technology solutions and products in an agile environment?
As a member of the Technology Enabling Tribe, you will provide the business with the required technology platforms to owning the end-to-end solution architecture.

Strong experience providing direction and guidance on all technical aspects of the architecture, ensuring technical integrity and adherence to relevant enterprise strategies, guardrails, roadmaps, standards, and principles
Technical expertise to act as the trusted advisor for delivery teams to ensure coordinated architecture and achieve a joined approach for delivery.
Stakeholder management skills that are highly influential across a broad group of technologists and business stakeholders.
Strong communication skills: ability to deliver advice and messages to enable cross-organisational groups of people communicate effectively and resolve problems
Experience developing others through a combination of training, coaching and mentoring on architecture
High self-awareness and the impact own behavior has on others
Open mindedness and effective ways at facilitating and teaching new concepts and ideas.
Eagerness to continually develop self through high quality training and the latest industry trends with regular, guided self-reflection and mentoring. Be an expert in at least one architectural and business domain, always looking to expand knowledge.
