Job Description
The post holder's main areas of responsibility are managing an Estates shift team, including managing three members of staff, owning the performance of the team and ensuring work is completed in a timely fashion and to the standard expected. When on the day shift, the role holder will also manage the day working maintenance teams. The role holder will need to make decisions on the priority of works to be completed throughout the shift and will need it liaise with senior managers to update on progress, risks, incidents and any other shift related information., Communication and representation
Extensive reporting to senior managers on shift performance, risks or near misses, completed and prioritised work and ongoing projects
Communicating with both technical and non-technical colleagues on work being
carried out, providing oversight and ownership of all shift members' work
Keeping in regular contact with contractors operating and working onsite, managing the quality of services provided including conducting spot checks and maintain the proper lifecycle of repair and build work
