Senior Service Designer (UX/UI focused)

Job Description

Job Description

We are expanding our pool of talented Service Designers within the Global Service Design Team with a new role at senior level and this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future design of the English Product Group.

We are looking for people who enjoy solving problems with design and deliver original and well thought out solutions. You will be involved in a wide range of projects across multiple channels working with teams in Cambridge and across the globe.

The role holder may facilitate design workshops, sketch, wireframe, prototype, and test user interfaces while working closely with other team members and internal stakeholders to balance business requirements and user needs across our digital platforms.

We encourage curiosity, exploration and self-development and truly believe inspired people create their best work. This is a great time to join our growing team of creatives and make a mark on projects from start to finish.

Candidate Description

You are a service designer who puts the user at the heart of what you do and empathise with customers and internal stakeholders to understand the best way to deliver delightful and intuitive experiences.

Passionate about human-centred design, you are driven by optimising discoverability, usability, accessibility, credibility, and desirability.

You understand design as a high-value service and are committed to delivering nothing but the best.

As a highly collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude, you are great in building relationships and managing stakeholders.

You can make decisions in situations with unknown parameters, whilst remaining genuinely empathic, happy to ask for help and give help to others.

You are excellent at organising your time and know how to communicate complexed ideas clearly, highlighting insights and actionable recommendations, structuring reports and presentations in a way that will accommodate various cross-functional roles at varying seniority levels.

We expect that you have experience designing for in-house or agency including creating cross-platform, responsive user interfaces, ideally in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Ideally, you have a degree in Design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction or similar and some understanding of basic front-end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
