Duties & Responsibilities:
Based at our Epsom office, you will be part of the Low Carbon Group and take a key role in a variety of
projects; be responsible for the analysis, assessment, optioneering and design of process systems,
ranging from single discipline studies to large multidiscipline projects. Working closely with our clients,
you will be consulting with them to develop a full understanding of their project requirements, delivering
cost effective and innovative solutions.
We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer with strong conceptual thinking, Front End Engineering, and
detailed design process engineering experience. You will also have a good understanding of operations
and troubleshooting and are able to provide practical solutions to our clients' challenges.
As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of work packages and deliverables.
They may also be required to present your work to clients through reports and presentations.
You'll be responsible for the delivery of high-quality deliverables including, PFD's, H&MB, P&ID, Process
Datasheets, reports, presentations, and calculation packages to support their work and ensuring
compliance with relevant codes and standards and internal procedures. They will have process
simulations and optimization studies experience and be able to prepare Process Flow Schemes with mass
balances and equipment sizes.
With excellent communication skills, you will be comfortable at leading tasks, be a motivator and take
personal responsibility in achieving the best from the team to ensure client satisfaction. You should be
comfortable and adaptable to working in new and changing environments. Will have good attention to
detail and are able to make judgements under pressure.
Should have a strong background in Oil & Gas process engineering with the following qualifications and
most of the experience:
- Engineering degree, honours or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or similar
- Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Chemical Engineers or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Background in the oil and gas industry, with some of this in a multi-discipline design
- environment
- Experience in feasibility, concept selection and front-end engineering studies and detailed design
- Experience providing technical direction and supervision of junior engineers in the preparation of project deliverables
- Experience in Low Carbon Projects such a Carbon Capture, Blue/Green Hydrogen etc. is preferred but not essential.
- Understanding of relevant safety and environmental industry regulations. Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (American Petroleum Institute, National Association of Corrosion Engineers, Institute of Petroleum, British Standards etc.).
