  • Provide a flexible income collection role to Housing contracts.

  • Work on different housing management systems and being flexible in the approach because there are expectations to work from different offices and visit various sites.

  • Undertake a range of income collection duties relating to rent and service charge income for affordable rent, private rent and social housing residents.

  • Deal with complicated arrears cases, serving notices, and attending court where required, liaising with the Welfare Advice Officers to identify and resolve rent arrears due to issues with Housing Benefit or Universal Credit.

Candidate Description

In-depth knowledge of income collection and the legal framework for housing

  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of welfare benefits specifically Universal Credit and Housing Benefit
