As Senior Category Manager for People Services you will provide expertise in business partnering.

The role will focus on maximising the value (service, quality, cost, risk) derived from our supplier relationships.

This will be achieved through taking ownership of, and empowerment to, proactively manage substantial area of external spend and critical categories & suppliers.

Business Partnering is at the heart of this role to develop and deliver major deals and sourcing strategies that are aligned to businesses needs within the People Team.

The role holder will be focussed on the development of strategic supplier relationships and partnerships.

A crucial part of the role be will be monitoring of key business deliverables to ensure contractual coverage, adherence to all current UK legislation and delivery of services within agreed spend parameters.

Candidate Description

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Evidence a Degree or equivalent (CIPS).

  • A track record of category management and supplier relationship management experience, including high value services in People related categories.

  • Demonstrate capability across multiple spend categories within a blue-chip environment, with a focus across Contingent Labour, Talent Acquisition, Rewards & Benefits, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement and Recognition.

  • Proven ability to build strong and credible commercial relationships across a range of internal and external partners.

  • A history in creating, negotiating and executing contracts, working directly with Legal and SMEs in the business to formalise optimal contract frameworks, scopes of works and commercial schedules., We'd also love you to bring;

  • Evidence a background in managing teams and leadership qualities.

  • An ability to represent the Procurement agenda in transformational cross-functional projects
