The role of the Global Account Manager is to take responsibility for the day to day operational management, governance and needs of the OEM customers on a global level.

The Global Account Manager supports the Global Account Director in overseeing the international relationships with the above brands and developing the OEM partnership. This entails relationship management with OEM Partners, SCF Central Office and Countries to ensure good communication with all stakeholders.

What you will be doing?

  • Manage and co-ordinate the global relationship with one of the OEM customers up to the Director level / manage the relationship in one of the smaller markets for the OEM customer.

  • Manage and support the performance of the markets to deliver Key Performance Indicators in terms of profit, penetration and volume, renewals, TCM .

  • Where in place, Manage the Global Account Executive to ensure effective delivery of Management Information to help develop the business.

  • Managing the OEM partnership Strategic projects:

  • Manage and drive key projects through problem solving, overcoming barriers, and influencing stakeholders.

  • Support the Global Account Director to - + Co-ordinate the global relationship with OEM partners. + Deliver strong consistent communication with customers and local markets. + Monitor performance of the markets to deliver on Key Performance Indicators in terms of profit and volume.

  • Work with stakeholders to ensure contract renewals and new business proposals follow approved governance processes in a timely manner.

  • Produce timely and accurate management information and reporting. Good computer skills (MS Excel and PPT) are essential. Recommend actions to achieve business objectives.

  • Relationship governance with OEM partners including organising workshops, producing minutes and the follow up of action items.

  • Review legal documentation regarding the accounts to ensure contractual terms are adhered to.

Candidate Description

On the job training will be provided. The following Qualifications, skills and experience are preferred but not essential:

  • Educated to degree level or above

  • Commercial acumen: Understanding business plans, legal contracts, financial accounts and KPIs.

  • Senior stakeholder management: Ability to effectively engage and communicate with a diverse range of senior stakeholders through presentations and influencing skills.

  • Self-motivated and demonstrates determination to achieve objectives.

  • Customer focussed

  • Good decision making and problem solving skills

  • Project or account management experience.

  • Preferred, but not essential to have extensive previous experience working for a motor finance company or an auto OEM.

    Other Requirements of the Role:

  • The successful candidate must possess a full driving license.

  • The range of responsibilities mean the role will be home based and will require international travel. The successful candidate will be based in the South East of England, near an international airport

  • The role is at the level of S3 and therefore has benefits commensurate with that level.
