This is management at its most practical - as well as leading your team to complete tasks, you'll need to roll your sleeves up, get involved in food preparation, serve customers and make sure the shop is clean, well-stocked and welcoming. As well as this our managers are great at keeping a close eye on things like; wage controls, waste controls, training and customer service standards. We have a fantastic opportunity to become a Shop Manager, on a 42 hour contract, at our store in Newark, the Maltings. Working for a company that Is forever evolving to keep up with current food trends and aims to be the best in the Food on the Go Market. We are an inclusive business, with a fast-paced work environment. You will be trained on food preparation, tills, filling stock, baking savories and cleaning. Alongside this, you will be responsible for management duties including driving sales, achieving targets and motivating/coaching the staff. We offer incentives and provide our staff excellent benefits. A car and full Driving License is essential. The shop is open from 6am until 9pm. The successful candidate will work 5 out of 7 days.
You'll fit right into Greggs as a Shop Manager if:
You have track record as a supervisor or line manager and a CV bursting with customer service experience.
You have experience in a food on the go environment or within retail.
You have proven experience of using your skillset to develop a team of people.
Are a problem-solver who can manage change, communicate with people from all walks of life and continually focus on our customers' needs.
