This is a unique opportunity for someone who is ready to develop their knowledge and research skills for digital projects.

In this role you will be responsible for an undertaking and delivering a wide range of research projects linked to the DCMS funded WLA Outcomes Accelerator project. The Outcomes Accelerator is a 12-month programme of work to test and pilot software platforms for sharing asset data with the private sector.

In this role you will be bring your research, analytical, design and reporting expertise to the team, drawing upon a strong combination of both qualitative and quantitative experience.,

  • Take the lead on managing and delivering research projects and deliverables as part of the Outcomes Accelerator project.

  • Lead the drafting and preparation of published external reports and communications materials suitable for a range of audiences including technical specialists and executives.

  • Deploy a range of research methods for example, surveys, data analytics and interviews to complete deliverables for the project.

  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research and into key technical and policy issues relating to the deployment of new digital infrastructure and data sharing between the public and private sector.

  • Draft, prepare and circulate documents (reports, notices, memos) where appropriate to the role

  • Respond to communications (enquiries, requests, complaints, letters, applications) within defined timescales.

  • Co-ordinate, collect and maintain records and manage data in accordance with GDPR

  • Develop relationships as required with key partners such as the West London boroughs, GLA, DCMS, TfL and wireless network operators.

Candidate Description

The successful applicant will have good commercial skills, a creative approach to problem solving, and a commitment to delivering high quality public facing documents and outputs using a range of techniques such as infographics and data visualisation., 1. Ability to draft and publish external documents and materials to a high standard. 2. Ability to simplify technical language and concepts and make them accessible to a wide range of audiences. 3. Knowledge of digital technologies (including infrastructure), markets, business models and policy issues. 4. Quantitative and qualitative research skills 5. Ability to use tools such as excel to manage large datasets and technical information. 6. Effective report writing skills and written and spoken communication 7. Effective presentation and negotiation/persuasion skills 8. Excellent organisational skills 9. Ability to work autonomously and keep own deadlines and targets

  1. Ability to identify and solve problems, both theoretical and real world, 1. Researching, drafting, and publishing external and technical documents and other communication materials suitable for a range of audiences including CEOs and thought leaders

    1. Experience of working within a team on a research project.
    2. Experience applying research skills to collect, clean and manage data sets and information.
    3. Experience of report writing and undertaking effective presentations
    4. Ability to use computer software e.g. extensive use of word processing, spreadsheets/databases, and presentation software
    5. Identifying and solving problems and developing creative solutions to source data or information and fill gaps in data sets.

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION (S):

  • Undergraduate degree or extensive work experience is preferable in a related area to the role.

  • Experience in the infrastructure sector or data innovation projects involving sharing data between public and private bodies would be preferable

  • Experience in commercialisation and public sector innovation with data and telecoms would be preferable.

  • Experience working on central government funded projects would be preferable.

  • Experience of influencing senior colleagues and internal and external stakeholders to input to and deliver success
