The key objective of Regulatory Liaison is to ensure that Santander UK's regulatory interactions are well coordinated, informed and delivered to deadlines. This includes ensuring that senior management have effective working relationships with senior regulatory officials; and that interactions with regulators are managed and coordinated in compliance with the Regulatory Contacts Policy (RCP).

Responsibility for coordinating communications with Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Payment Systems Regulator (PSR) and overseeing the regulatory relationships with other in scope regulators rests with the Regulatory Liaison team within Regulatory Affairs, reporting to the Head of Regulatory Affairs.

The difference you'll make.

  • Ensuring effective and timely collaboration with regulators on key regulatory requests and initiatives.

  • Identifying and escalating any trends, issues, risks or concerns which could negatively impact the relationship with any of the bank's regulators and maintaining an up to date knowledge of Risk Management.

  • Ensuring all regulatory requests, responses and associated documentation are logged. This includes maintaining logs for regulatory communications and meetings via the internal tracker system and the team's mailbox/calendar.

  • Managing individual mailbox work allocations as directed by line manager and to log and track to completion.

  • Arranging and managing regulatory meetings and acting as note taker where required and ensuring follow up actions are completed.

  • Reporting and liaising with Group Regulatory Affairs on key UK supervisory interactions.

Candidate Description

  • Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory framework of UK financial services, industry trends and best practice.

  • Track record of managing and prioritizing demanding workloads in a fast-paced environment/role.

  • Strong minute taking skills and experience

  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
