Job Description

We are looking for a talented and driven Project Manager to join our team and help us deliver Gas Transmission Projects.

​

Our team is delivery focused. We manage and maintain critical Gas Pipelines and Compressor stations to ensure gas supplies in the UK.

​

An area in which we are growing is the delivery of capital project works at larger scale where we are seeking dedicated resource to manage and plan our project works.

​

That is where you could be so valuable to our team. We have major projects waiting for the right person to take them on and deliver.

​

We have strong technical and construction skill sets in the team; you would be well supported in the role with flexible travel and working arrangements around central Scotland.

Key Accountabilities:

​

  • Undertake the role of Project Manager for designated schemes in Scotland and North Zone 3.

  • Deliver projects to the highest standard of safety and environmental protection in the industry.

  • Deliver financial, programme, contract and quality management for your projects.

  • Ensure schemes remain within governance (scope, cost and schedule).

  • Manage resources, processes, contracts, business procedures and system access to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.

  • Ensure construction risks are identified, assessed and mitigated throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Improve supplier relationships and optimise procurement efficiency.

  • Provide accurate and timely project reporting.

What You'll Need:

​

  • Experience of successful project delivery and project team working.

  • Project Management skills including management of risk for delivery of projects to scope, time, cost, quality and safety.

  • Experience of different contract management types, including NEC Option A, C and E.

  • Understanding and Experience of Safety and Environmental legislation and practices and policies.

  • Understanding and experience of Design Management, Safety Management and Environment Management systems.

  • Educated to at least HNC level or equivalent, ideally leading to Chartered status or similar in the field of engineering or contract/project management or relevant experience.

  • Ideally supported by recognised training or qualifications in Project, Health & Safety, Environmental or Financial management.
