Production Engineer

Job Description

To define build processes, and create tooling solutions, for the assembly, lifting and support of new products, in a production environment.,

  • Define robust and efficient build processes for new boat designs by analysing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout in the Production environment

  • Using 3D modelling software, create tooling solutions and build manuals for use in Production, applying knowledge of product design, assembly methods and production operations

  • Using 3D modelling software, create technical drawings to enable the supply chain to manufacture of tooling solutions

  • Work closely with Design to ensure new products are designed for manufacture

  • Work closely with Production to ensure tooling requirements are understood

  • Work closely with external suppliers to ensure tooling solutions are manufactured as required by Sunseeker

  • Develop and maintain project plans and budget profiles to ensure delivery of milestones to agreed cost targets and timescales.

  • Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage all key stakeholders to facilitate delivery compliance with manufacturing strategy.

Candidate Description

  • Either a qualification in, or knowledge of, Engineering.

  • A high level of computer literacy, including 3D design software.

  • Excellent communication skills, especially listening.

  • A tenacious mindset ready to deal with, and overcome, barriers to change, whilst being sensitive to the needs of others.

  • A natural leadership presence, ready to work collaboratively with a range of Sunseeker teams, departments and suppliers.

  • Ideally, good all round boat building knowledge.
