This is an exciting time to join our team as Asda embarks on the Future programme to replace and update all of our computer systems. For Asda Logisitics Services this includes our warehouse management system. You will play an integral part in developing, configuring and optimising warehouse processes and systems from inception through to start up and implementation. Assessing processes, taking measurements and interpreting data to identify areas of opportunity to inform decisions on any changes which may be required. You will also be part of designing, testing and running improvement projects across the network.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Develop standard processes, routines and innovative solutions to improve efficiency and quality of output.

  • Collaborating with the implementation, system and on site management team to embed the new warehouse management system and ways of working.

  • Identify areas of opportunity to improve performance achieving the overall cost objective of the business.

  • Create and own process documentation and standard operating procedures

  • Work with colleagues to identify opportunities for improvement and then create solutions and trials to assess effectiveness making recommendations.

  • Operating with multi-functional teams to achieve project goals and realise improvements

  • Analyse and troubleshoot process problems so as to make continuous and permanent improvements.

  • Be an expert in the assigned process providing consultancy and subject matter expert advice to company projects.

Candidate Description

You'll need to be organised and have excellent written and verbal communication skills as the role will require you to build networks and strong relationships. You'll have a good understanding of lean methodology and work time study techniques so are numerical and analytical skills. You will be a creative thinker, logical who enjoys a challenge.
