You will work on a Continental Based Shift Rota, attending 2 x 12-hour days followed by 2 x 12-hour nights, then 4 days off. After a pattern of five of these shifts you have 14 days off and we also give you 18 days off in the summer., As a member of the production line crew, you will be responsible for:

  • Running, setting, adjusting, and maintaining production machinery to produce quality printed cans to ISO 9001 standards

  • Showing a commitment to quality as well as health and safety

  • Maintaining a supply of raw material and inspecting it for defects or poor quality

  • Continuing a good standard of housekeeping and supporting the reduction of downtime across the lines

  • Maximising the use of "line downtime" by assisting in the problem area, undertaking cross-line support or housekeeping duties, reacting to downtime in order to minimise line build-backs and shunting

Candidate Description

We are seeking applications from self-motivated Production Engineers to specialise in the Printing and Decorating element of the can-making process. Full training will be provided so if you possess the drive to work on your own initiative and pride yourself on making a difference, then this role is for you!, Required Education and Qualifications

  • Level 3 City & Guilds/Apprenticeship, or equivalent, in Off-Set Printing

    Beneficial Knowledge and Experience

  • Printing / Decorating experience

  • Experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment,

  • A commitment to Health and Safety

  • A 'can-do' attitude

  • Continuous Improvement mind-set
