As the UK's number one retailer with stores, distribution centres and offices across the UK, we have a great opportunity available for an individual who has a hunger to work with customers and colleagues across our exciting business.

The Primary team sit within Distribution and are responsible for ensuring our orders are delivered to their destination on time and in the most efficient way possible.

Working collaboratively with our Suppliers, Hauliers, Consolidators, Commercial, Supply Chain & Tesco DC's, you will continually strive for more efficient ways of distribution.

Whilst the current shift pattern is as follows; Double days (06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00) we can be flexible and are open to discussing a fixed rota or separate shifts.

You will be responsible for

  • Working alongside members of the Primary Distribution team to help support Tesco suppliers and Primary hauliers to deliver cost effective and efficient supply chain solutions

  • Collaborating cross functionally with our Suppliers, Hauliers, Distribution Centres, Supply Chain, Commercial and Finance teams to improve and deliver great service levels

  • Delivering day to day operations, including responding to customer queries on orders, reporting and auditing, to ensure a smooth running of the department

  • Supporting Managers to grow the Primary Distribution network

  • Using data to analyse and spot trends to meet KPI targets and make improvements to our network

  • Leading change and development to drive simplification of routines, including databases and supporting tools

  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

Candidate Description

  • Strong Microsoft Office, web-based applications, and modelling skills

  • Understanding of Transport / Distribution networks would be an advantage

  • Demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively and build solid working relationships

  • Providing a high level of Customer Service

  • Attentive to detail

  • Effective problem-solving skills

  • Personable, engaging and articulate

  • Flexibility, ability to manage multiple and competing priorities, responsiveness
