Platform Engineer required to join a major Government Agency on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will join a team responsible for driving the Agency's digital transformation agenda through the management and monitoring of the OutSystems low code application platform ensuring reliable and performant systems that support application delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding Government Agency offering excellent development and progression opportunities and a supportive and inclusive working environment working in a Hybrid working pattern.

Job Purpose

To mitigate systems impact to life-cycle and end-user app delivery in the OutSystems Platform. Ensures reliable and performant systems that support application delivery. Proactively monitors, troubleshoots and redesigns the landscape adapting it to real-time requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the OutSystems environment and resolve any issues

  • Configure the OutSystems environment

  • Collaborate with OutSystems development resources in deploying of applications

  • Debug and resolve performance issues

  • Apply upgrades to OutSystems & components, keeping updated with the latest features and fixes;

  • Triage and Resolve operational issues

  • Collaborate on roll-out activities and environment requirements

  • Monitor environment health

  • Maintain operational infrastructure

  • Support Load / Performance Testing efforts

  • Report operational and quality metrics & promote ways to automate this

  • Report new release impact to application stakeholders

  • Define tools, process and best practices:

  • Define Monitoring strategy within ecosystem

  • Integrate OutSystems Platform into organizational tool ecosystem and existing processes

  • Establish Troubleshooting best practices

  • Capture areas of improvement in development procedures, applications and their delivery to users

  • Promote standardisation across applications

  • Promote standardised automated auditing

  • Debug issues related with stability and performance;

    Desirable Technical Qualifications

  • Understanding of OutSystems Environments, development lifecycle, code promotion and change control management

  • Expert in Lifetime

  • Expert in Service Center

  • Basic knowledge of Service Studio

  • User Management

  • Certification in OutSystems Administration

Candidate Description

  • Knowledge of SQL Server & SSMS

  • Basic understanding of networking - IP, DNS, Load Balancers, SSL Certificates

  • Experience working in complex OutSystems environment
