Payroll Administrator

Part time 22.5 hours a week


Manchester City Centre

My client is a large retail organisation with a modern head office based in Manchester Centre close to Victoria Train Station.

Candidates should ideally have experience of working within Payroll previously and be proficient working on Microsoft systems, strong attention to detail is required along with the ability to work to a high standard within a process driven environment.


  • Experience with basic Microsoft Office functionality (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience working within a payroll environment with a working knowledge of payroll related legislation
  • Highly analytical and confidently numerate - able to understand payroll calculations and offer appropriate interpretation
  • Administrative experience working with a variety of processes
  • High degree of attention to detail and professionalism adhering to the Co-op values and behaviours
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to learn quickly (on the job and through training)
  • Ability to multi-task and priorities critical items
  • Contributes to a positive team environment - is helpful and supportive of other team members and understands team priorities


  • Working towards or accredited Payroll qualification
  • Ability to adapt quickly to understand the business nuances of a complex group
