  • Provide proactive support to help improve the customer environment

  • Provide customer health checks as required

Candidate Description

The DBA/DMA candidate should have solid experience as an Oracle DBA, extensive years of experience on Oracle database technology and including a fair years of experience on Exadata administration (DMA), and database administration experience utilizing Oracle 11g/12c/18c/19c.

Experience with troubleshooting Oracle database environments is essential. Knowledge and involvement with Golden gate and Postgres is also valuable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Should have experience in Oracle database technology installation and configuration

  • Experience in Database problem analysis and root-cause resolution

  • Strong experience with Oracle Data Guard, Oracle database/disaster recovery and data restore methods

  • Responsible in Demonstrated capabilities working in both Unix and Linux server environments

  • Usage of Oracle OEM for monitoring, problem analysis and maintenance is required

  • Should have Oracle RAC experience and Exadata experience is a must

  • Experience in Trouble shooting RAC related issues

  • Strong in experience in Application SQL statement analysis and tuning is a plus

  • Knowledge in Compute node administration (operating system administration)

  • Experience in Cell/Storage administration

  • Should have Networking knowledge

  • Responsible for Diagnosing IB related issues

  • Platinum Gateway/ASR experience is a plus

  • Firmware patch management experience is a plus,

  • Strong critical thinking and problem analysis skills Ability to successfully organize and prioritize multiple work activities

  • Effective presentation of technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Demonstrated capabilities to work as part of a team, and deliver results independently

  • Experience handling problems and reporting issues to inline management

  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours when required

  • Communicate with members of the team when issues arise

  • Provide mentoring for junior members of the team
