The Team Leader role available is within the Scheduling side of the team whose tasks predominantly support the beginning of the exam cycle. These tasks include creating exam timetables, awarding schedules and the Guide to Making Entries which all form an integral part of the successful delivery of exams and results.
Our Team Leader is vital to those activities because they are close to the action, but also have line-management of a small team. You are responsible for organising your own and your team's time and resources to meet and exceed objectives.

The Day to Day
The Scheduling Team Leader role involves:
Leading on specific functional processes, such as the creation of our exam timetable related documents
Line-managing a team of Administrators, supporting with their personal development, wellbeing and goal setting
Oversight of the day-to-day activities within your team to ensure tasks are completed to schedule
Reporting on your team's progress versus agreed plans
Empowering your team to take ownership of their tasks and process improvements
Escalation of issues and risks to your manager
Contributing SME knowledge to projects and testing as required
You will likely be a talented administrator with an interest in stepping up and taking on more responsibility both individually and for a small team. Colleagues would describe you as a 'team player' and someone who will always lend them a helping hand or patient ear.
You are determined and a self-starter. You understand the importance of up to date procedures and you are comfortable working with data. Your eye for detail ensures that processes are completely accurately, on time and any queries your team have are resolved calmly and efficiently. You recognise that people fall to their level of training, rather than rise to the level of expectations put upon them. Because of this, ensuring that you and your team are experts in their tasks is a priority for you. Our work is important, life-changing even. However, whilst you never lose sight of this fact, you always try and create a positive environment for your team to work in where everyone's contributions are appreciated.
