The New Markets Solution Development Manager vacancy is a 12-month Maternity Cover to oversee all International New Market Solutions and Development work for the Supply Chain., Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Development Programme Manager, this role is the primary point of contact for new market teams throughout projects and with nominated contacts with partners in the new markets themselves.

You will be responsible for enabling new markets to be opened up on time and to plan, with all base requirements in place, from partner data, through to product data, through to ensuring the correct stock levels and terms of international delivery are in place. Once implementation is done and bedded in, partner operations and customer services work transfers to BAU activity in the Global Operations team.,

  • Work with the platform lead teams to have pipeline visibility of global new market launches for all propositions

  • Use the route to market assessment tool to review existing routes to market that can be optimised

  • Update and maintain the global coffee sourcing map to ensure it is always up to date and reflects "as-is" manufacture and distribution set up

  • Work with the platform lead teams to introduce new ways of working to improve new market entries e.g. stage gate matrix process flow, lower level activity task tracker

  • Management of Customer, Vendor and Product Set up

  • Coordination of suppliers and co-packers

  • Forecasting and Planning Management of New Markets forecasts for the year and particularly, "1st orders"

  • Ensuring New Market set ups comply with international trade regulations and requirements and ensuring that Costa's international shipments are also in line with wider TCCC policies

  • 3PL Management, coordination, and delivery

  • Ensure the ordering process for new markets is laid out in full, with process maps and process flows, ready for BAU and is SOX compliant

  • The ideal candidate will be/have been an international supply chain or operations leader with a very direct focus on operational excellence and P&L performance preferably in a dynamic, fast paced retail environment

  • Experience in successfully leading Commercial Development solutions, preferably in Supply Chain operations

  • Experienced in managing international supply chains

  • Significant exposure to multi-site, multi-channel distribution (ideally in the Retail sector) and in delivering process improvement in a complex business

  • Comfortable presenting to senior teams

  • Exceptional influencing skills and focussed on leading by example

  • Strong attention to detail and to driving KPI performance

  • Able to move at a fast pace

  • Hard working and ambitious with strong personal integrity
