Job Description

You will monitor all inventory and vehicle movements at the UK sites. This includes receipt, picking and supply to the assembly line as well as the dispatch of finished goods.

You will also oversee all aspects of material flow, accuracy of stock, stock transactions within the MRP system, the scheduling and allocation of work as well as warehouse management.

Responsible for a team of 15 including the Yard and Stores team, you will also work closely with the Logistics Team to ensure that load planning is monitored, and resources are allocated effectively and efficiently whilst ensuring health and safety practices are followed and improved as well as continually improving practices in regard to storage, handling and packing.

Your key metrics will include, holding accuracy, cycle count quantities, efficiency of loading and unloading, safe handling of product, resource management in terms of personnel hours and cost. Experience with appraisals, pay reviews, disciplinary processes and conflict resolution would also be required.

Candidate Description

The ideal candidate will have experience of Sage 200 or a similar software, a proven track record of warehouse management with a developed understanding of movement of materials, storage principles and FIFO practices.

You will ideally have experience within a logistics environment that can manage up to 50 vehicle movements per day, an advanced user of Microsoft Excel with the ability to produce and analyse data to drive improvement, experience of working within an ISO9001 and ISO14001 environment and a developed understanding of Lean Management principles with a proven record of implemented improvements in previous roles.
