The Marketing Science Manager is responsible for the Marketing Science team as an internal consultancy that helps Asda to grow by sharing insight that will help optimise Asda marketing, analyse historic media investment performance and what that could mean for future projections and to challenge ourselves, our colleagues and agencies., The customer is at the heart of everything we do - you'll produce actionable insights that helps drive the business forward and you'll be involved in a variety of asks - understanding market trends, consumer trends and data sources, and then use the findings to advise some of our biggest business decisions. We're looking for an experienced marketing effectiveness professional to join us on a permanent full-time basis.
You will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the business to take important business questions and, through data analysis, deliver timely, accurate and actionable outcomes which can be applied to support commercial leadership.
As part of a wider Data Insights team within a diverse Customer function, requiring a strong team work ethic and a desire to develop working relationships. This role provides many opportunities to further develop your communication, technical and analytical skillsets.
Lead the creation and maintenance of appropriate marketing key performance indicators, ROI models, and predictive models for marketing campaigns to determine effectiveness, provide optimisation recommendations, and influence marketing campaign planning
Ensure all Marketing stakeholders are fully engaged with key Marketing Science deliverables: econometrics, testing and forecasting, campaign measurement, communicating key insights to the business in a tailored, collaborative and compelling manner
Support agency strategists and media planners by providing analytical decision support and ensuring insights generated are embedded in decision making
Lead the development and standardisation of reporting and marketing/digital performance analytics

Extensive marketing analytics experience in a highly data-driven, analytical environment
Proficient in econometric and statistical modelling techniques
Strong ability to translate quantitative data into actionable recommendations and to translate business objectives into marketing goals and measurements
Desirable - strong data analytical skills & confidence with complex data sets. Comfortable manipulating and querying structured data (SQL / Python)
Provide project management support for the multiple workstreams within Marketing Effectiveness. Maintaining project plans, identifying resource constraints, liaising with relevant teams, stakeholders and vendors
Broad knowledge of the advertising industry (ATL and BTL) and associated data, metrics and terminology
A degree in Analytics, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing Strategy or a relevant analytical discipline would be advantageous
