By solving the delivery challenges many companies find holding them back, we help make reaching new markets a reality by offering innovative, cost-effective parcel deliveries to global destinations., Main Location: Home based with some travel to sites in Slough and Basildon.

This role provides critical leadership and mentoring to a team of specialists responsible for our global network of final mile delivery providers. The Carrier Management team, and the solutions the team enables, are central to the value proposition offered by FedEx Cross Border.

This will be an exciting and challenging position which offers scope for the successful individual to develop and shape the position, aligning to the department's growth strategy. Ideally, we require someone with experience in the end-to-end carrier industry but will suit any persons with a background in leading teams responsible for 3rd party service vendor management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a strong team of specialists in service provider account management

  • Coordinate tactical and strategic priorities, adequately managing workflow & resource allocation across the team

  • Proactively engage with management peers to align on shared objectives

  • Ensure the department maintains high, consistent standards in all deliverables

  • Internal & External stakeholder engagement

  • Cost & Service control

  • Presentation & Availability of service details, central to the value proposition

  • Foster a culture built on the FedEx brand values, driving conscientious behaviours centred around continuous improvement

  • Well established leader, versed in mentoring skilled teams

  • Detailed and thorough analytical mind set

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Commercially astute

  • Ability to adapt to rapid change

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

  • Team Player, with a strong focus on collaborative working

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

  • Experience of working with or for an international logistics provider
