Management Consultant

Job Description

Management Consultant, Energy & Utilities (Digital Asset Management) – Nationwide

Your Impact:

Over the next decade the world will need to decide how to achieve inclusive and sustainable growth. Fast paced urbanisation, water scarcity, energy security, digital proliferation, climate change and geo-political instability will significantly influence global prosperity.

Jacobs has an opportunity for a Senior/Principal Consultant (Digital Asset Management) to join the Business Intelligence & Analytics Team at Jacobs.  You will join a growing and high-performing team delivering digital transformation, supporting clients across the energy and utilities sector to understand their assets and systems, and harnessing their data to make better enterprise-wide decisions. This is an excellent opportunity to realise real change and contribute to revolutionary digital change initiatives.

Our Business Intelligence and Analytics team has grown out of our asset management, business solutions and infrastructure advisory services, augmenting our other services by providing the digital systems, structure, management and analytics our clients need through practical, value-adding solutions.  We create and embed strategic digital transformation, enabling our clients to access the intelligence in their data and make better business decisions, faster.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

To thrive in this role, you’ll be self-motivated and willing to challenge established practice. Excellent oral and written communication skills are key, along with the ability to collaborate as a team, and across strategic consulting.  Ideally you'll have delivered 2-4 relevant projects successfully, along with:

  • Knowledge of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) which transform the digital customer experience

  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and/or Enterprise Asset Management Systems

  • Experience of building or managing database driven solutions (SQL or NoSQL)

  • Knowledge of predictive analytics and statistics

  • Understanding of digital replicas and digital twins

  • Experience developing cloud-hosted applications and solutions using services such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud

  • Experience with asset investment planning models and tools, such as total cost of ownership modelling

  • Ability to form relationships and develop industry connectivity

  • Ability to facilitate small group workshops

  • Positive/effective relationships with clients and co-workers and demonstrate a focus on satisfying both internal and external customers

If you don’t meet every requirement of the job and/or your experience doesn’t align perfectly with the criteria, we encourage you to apply anyway. You could be the right candidate for this role, or for other roles within Jacobs. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace – our success depends on having a diverse team of visionaries, thinkers and doers, who collaborate to harness all perspectives to make a positive impact.

Work-life balance and flexibility is a key focus area for Jacobs. We’re happy to discuss hybrid, part-time and flexible working hours, patterns and locations to suit you and our business.  This role can be based at any one of our London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, York, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh or Dublin offices.
