This role is responsible for supporting the UK Country Controller in ensuring the UK finance function is efficient, accurate & value adding, and all compliance requirements are met.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Ensuring that all statutory & group reporting is completed accurately and within tight deadlines

  • Responsible for the month end numbers to IFRS standards and provide accurate reporting

  • Engaging with other functions to follow up and action cost variances with analysis providing summary to the UK Country Controller

  • Use information to make assessment for forecast and foresee potential upsides and risk

  • Contributing to monthly reporting practices with focus around SGA, reporting in a timely manner to strict deadlines

  • Quarterly reporting including capacity cost reporting

  • Responsible for fleet operations, liaising with external fleet management team to ensuring efficient processes

  • Assist external tax providers with local VAT preparation, EC Sales and Intrastat reporting, ensuring monitor unit is compliant with legal requirements

  • Payroll support (Sage)

  • Reporting financial results and follow up actions form operations to UK Country Controller

  • Providing support to Business Partners within and supporting 5 business units, explaining finance topics to non-finance colleagues

  • Supporting transactional type of work with global financial operations

Candidate Description

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with experience within an Accountant role - ESSENTIAL

  • Ability to drive change and adapt quickly to changing business models and processes

  • Strong finance background

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Confident Excel and systems skills, VLOOKUP / Index, Match / Pivot etc.
