Location: Hybrid - 2 to 3 days a week in the London Office / Remote Working
The Capabilities Reform Unit (CRU) has been established as part of the Home Office response to the Major Law Enforcement Programmes Review via a mandate from the Permanent Secretary. CRU's mission is to 'ensure we commission the right outcomes aligned to the policy and operational priorities, by implementing a new Commissioning Function for national public safety capabilities.'

As a Lead Business Analyst your main responsibilities will be
- Leading the Futures strand of the Business Design function working closely with Home Office Science, Technology, Analysis and Research (STAR), College of Policing and the National Police Chiefs' Council; defining, agreeing and managing processes to ensure that Futures investments are aligned with public safety policy outcomes and commissioned in such a way as to allow sustainment and continuity if desirable
- Leading the NPSC Business Analysis Team (G7 equivalent role) reporting into the Head of Business Design
- Leading a series of high complexity business analysis projects to be allocated through the National Public Safety Capabilities Project Plan on themes including Violence Against Women and Girls, Tackling Exploitation and Abuse, Serious and Organised Crime and Roads Policing.
- Overseeing management and execution of the Book of Work
- Supporting the effective running of the Commissioning Board
- Providing analysis inputs for Civil Society engagement on National Public Safety Capabilities
- Extensive stakeholder engagement across all levels
Essential Skills
- Previous Policing & Law Enforcement Domain experience (Criminal Justice Service
Policing Technology)
- Understanding of National Law Enforcement Capabilities landscape
- Blended teams working experience. (Contractors, Civil Servants, Suppliers)
- Extensive experience operating at lead, senior business analysis level
- Strong self starter
- Extensive senior stakeholder engagement across all levels
