Job Title: R&D Technologist - China

Job Description

  • Liaise with testing houses, organising and preparing samples for efficacy claims testing.

  • Review literature data and efficacy test data (user trial, moisture test, patch test etc.)

  • Complete product efficacy forms as per China regulatory requirements.

  • Review product formulas and raw materials. Assess the impact on China product registrations.

  • Update study protocols according to changes on regulations, interpretation and guidelines.

  • Work with wider teams (global R&D, brand, artwork, technical compliance etc.) for efficacy claims alignment.

  • Support copy approval process and claim dossiers creations.

  • Support Retail Academy, Technical Compliance and Regulatory with daily, scientific communication related questions.

  • Maintain a broad awareness of regulatory and technical knowledge regarding cosmetic products, particularly for China.

  • Deliver within the project timeframe to support product registration in a timely manner.

Candidate Description

  • Educated to Degree level in Chemistry / Cosmetic science

  • Relevant work experience in cosmetic R&D / regulatory role

  • Good understanding of the operational side of manufacturing and product development environment

  • Strong project management and organizational skills to manage project timelines

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with all teams

  • Proactive and demonstrate a willingness to learn

  • Understanding of the Chinese language and China cosmetic regulation is highly desirable
