Lead all relevant areas of product development and innovation to ensure the prompt availability of quality products for businesses that are safe, effective, suitable for mass production, in line with the brand/category innovation strategy. Ensure launch commitments are met with regard to lead times and costs., Lead all relevant areas of product development (NPD/OPS projects) from the marketing brief to the 1stproduction batch:
Brief our sub contractors to develop the best formula in terms of quality, performance, innovation and price within the agreed timing, and in respect of R&D guidelines.
Evaluate conformity of samples submitted by vendors,
Ensure successful follow-up of your projects with key internal and external partners
Anticipate fails and provide projects risk assessments
Ensure all the test results are available on time (formulation, stability, challenge test, safety test….) to commit with the agreed timing with our sub contractors and internal teams,
Monitor and validate product manufacturing at each stage of development, attend 1st production batch where required,
Create, send and compile all official documents through development phases
In-depth knowledge of your profession (formulation, cosmetic products, development phases, etc.)
Ability to maintain an overall view of operations within your business unit
Ability to identify, draw on and assimilate a range of information (patents, bibliographies, competition, etc.) and apply it to your activity
Ability to anticipate and adapt your organisation to the task in hand
Knowledge of technical English
Knowledge of communication techniques (oral and written) and teaching skills
Detailed knowledge of relevant IT resources and software
Good interpersonal skills and ability to build a broad network within research, Educated to Degree level in Chemistry / Cosmetic science
