The Creative Pack Artworker Lead is an important role between our ambition and design intention for the brand and exceptional execution across our products, working closely with the Head of Studio and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and professional delivery of all our packaging output., To create the conditions for consistently great work. Achieved by using your expert knowledge, skills, ability and personality to bring energy, share ideas to establish a talented artworker team.
Finalise the work so that its consistently the best it can be. You will be confident in your ability to add a layer of quality to work, have excellent design sensibilities and the ability to follow brand styles and be able to solve visual problems.
Flex your skills across all types of briefs, media and assets You and the team will be required to create forensically accurate, print-ready artwork for packaging. You will also oversee the output of the packaging artworker who directly reports into this role.
Collaborate with TGH team and its internal customers. You will be required to maintain quality whilst helping the team to deliver to short deadlines and fast turn-round times. You will need to build strong collaborative relationships quickly, maintaining the focus on creative excellence and work that drives the ambitions of the brand.
Help TGH run efficiently and effectively, you will support agreed ways of working across the team so that each member of the team is able to work efficiently and effectively.
The right person will have a superb track record managing and hands on artworking packaging in a fast paced, high pressured creative environment. You'll have excellent organisation skills and will be positive and solutions orientated by nature. You will also be personally committed to the Body Shop's ethos of business as a force for good, by generating positive economic, social and environmental impact.,
Experience in managing packaging artworkers, inc freelance support
Extensive experience in a creative packaging agency environment with experience of delivering high quality work for a fast-moving retail brand
Must have considerable artwork experience across gifting packaging / product packaging
Line management experience including appraisals and talent development
Recruitment and onboarding of new team members, plus management of freelance support in peak periods
Your own portfolio must demonstrate the quality of your work, ability to solve challenging briefs and build upon design ideas showing expansive knowledge in packaging design
You'll have advanced proficiency in InDesign CC, Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC. You'll be proficient in PowerPoint and Keynote presentation software; able to build templates and format slides, and you will have an aptitude for picking up new software.
in-depth knowledge of and technical expertise in cutter guides, retouching, visual design, pre-press, file preparation and pre-flighting.
