Job Description

  • To provide a customer facing support service to all users of IT technology.

  • To provide technical support for requests for IT services logged directly by a user, via the IT Service Desk, phone, e-mail or through a colleague.

  • To provide a proactive and responsive service to all IT users underpinned by demonstrating good, regular communication skills throughout the process.

  • To log all requests on the IT Service Desk and maintain full documentation (including time taken).

  • To provide support on Microsoft operating systems, specifically Windows 10.

  • To provide support on desktop applications including, but not limited to; Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint), Anti-Virus, and provide advice and/or training where necessary.

  • To provide support on client devices such as PCs, Laptops, Smart Phones and Printers.

  • To ensure all assets (hardware and software) are maintained and kept up to date on the asset register.

  • To ensure in conjunction with colleagues that backup routines are checked daily, and that media is stored in approved locations.

  • To arrange for external technical support where problems cannot be resolved in-house.

    Any other duties as requested by the reporting manager.

Candidate Description

  • Required - Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft).

  • Required - Relevant education in Information Technology - or equivalent.

  • Required - Must be able to independently work under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

  • Desired - Experience in a 1st Line IT Support environment.

  • Desired - Strong skills in problem solving.
