In this role you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a production plan in line with customer requirements, considering company stocking policy and production efficiency for a selected line. To ensure availability of parts & packaging to achieve the plan.

You are mainly responsible for:

  • To maintain long term production plans to contribute to overall company profitability

  • Ensure customer satisfaction via daily contact regarding, delivery, quality, design, EDI and new project introduction

  • To receive/analyse daily customer shipping requirements Including checking, understanding and following customer requirements in terms of Logistics, Packaging and Labellinq Specification

  • To maintain weekly production schedules assisting in production efficiency

  • To co-ordinate line inventory checks of all parts and packaging, ensuring stock levels are in line with company policy Including coordinating and carrying out inventory checks at off-site warehouses

  • To arrange ordering of all parts including weekly analysis of requirements & consumable items to ensure production plan can be met, whilst achieving stock level tarqets and avoiding airfreiqht costs

  • To ensure availability of packaging for all finished goods, including leading new packaging design specification and sourcing

  • To ensure the availability/accuracy of all shipping documents includinq invoices To negotiate costs and service levels with suppliers of Packaging, Transportation, Warehousing

  • To assist the Core Team in activities such as re-packing and inspecting parts

  • To contribute to the Production Planning Annual Section Plan, including setting of targets and objectives etc

  • To assist in the training of staff within the section on systems procedures etc To maintain accurate BOM's considering all design changes/timing etc Also to coordinate part and product phase-outs to minimise stock obsolescence

  • To play a co-ordination role in respect of trial builds and new model introduction, coordinating with external customers regarding their requirements

  • To facilitate APQP projects for new Pass Through implementation
