Account manager prospecting for new and developing existing customers.
Contact lapsed customers and build awareness of Barnes Williams and its product offer.
Maintain regular contact with customers and understand their requirements.
Customer liaison. Act as the point of contact responding to customer enquiries.
To process orders, advise on pricing, order acknowledgements.
To maintain customer files and account status on CRM/Sales manager database.
To keep a log of new customers and information required to open an account - new account forms, liaison with accounts team.
Coordinate payments for pro forma orders.
Liaise with buying team and warehouse with regards to stock availability.
Ensure that new leads or customers are entered into the SOP system.
The successful applicant will have a self starting, sleeves rolled up attitude and be ready to immerse him/herself in the day-to-day internal sales of the company.,
Highly organised - sales experience preferred.
Good customer service skills.
IT literate with Windows 365 and experience SOP systems.
Good written, numerate and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Commercial and numerate , as part of the role will be the quotation of prices.
Professional telephone manner.
Adaptable and flexible.
Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
Must be happy to prospect in product categories and call prospective customers.
