  • Account manager prospecting for new and developing existing customers.

  • Contact lapsed customers and build awareness of Barnes Williams and its product offer.

  • Maintain regular contact with customers and understand their requirements.

  • Customer liaison. Act as the point of contact responding to customer enquiries.

  • To process orders, advise on pricing, order acknowledgements.

  • To maintain customer files and account status on CRM/Sales manager database.

  • To keep a log of new customers and information required to open an account - new account forms, liaison with accounts team.

  • Coordinate payments for pro forma orders.

  • Liaise with buying team and warehouse with regards to stock availability.

  • Ensure that new leads or customers are entered into the SOP system.

Candidate Description

The successful applicant will have a self starting, sleeves rolled up attitude and be ready to immerse him/herself in the day-to-day internal sales of the company.,

  • Highly organised - sales experience preferred.

  • Good customer service skills.

  • IT literate with Windows 365 and experience SOP systems.

  • Good written, numerate and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Commercial and numerate , as part of the role will be the quotation of prices.

  • Professional telephone manner.

  • Adaptable and flexible.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.

  • Must be happy to prospect in product categories and call prospective customers.
