Job Description
Manage administration duties associated with Exam Access Arrangements, submitting claims online and working closely with the exams department to ensure the smooth running of exams, booking support staff and additional invigilators as necessary.
To be responsible for and managing all aspects of the day to day operation and administration of Exam Access Arrangements for timetabling and processing making sure they are processed accurately and efficiently within Joint Council and awarding organisation requirements.
To co-ordinate the exams processes for students with EHCPs by communicating and sharing information (in line with GDPR) with their previous school, their families/carers and external professionals.
To support the ALS & Inclusion Manager and Examination & Curriculum Administration Manager, with the Joint Council and Awarding organisations inspection and audit visits
Other responsibilities include:
To build and maintain strong links with local specialist schools and secondary schools, to ensure smooth and effective communication.
Attending year 10/11 options events and transition forums, forming strong relationships with local SENCOs and teachers to better support our students transition and ensure the College is the first choice for ALS/Inclusion in the local area.
To provide pastoral support to families during the transition process, coordinating parent/student forum sessions, and supporting lecturers with links to families/carers.
To support the ALS/Inclusion team throughout the year by offering support and time to others e.g. during enrolment, near funding deadlines, work experience visits etc
Candidate Description
Good Standard of General Education (Minimum of Level 2 Literacy) ICT Training (ECDL or equivalent) Ideally, experience of coordinating EAA Minimum of 6 months experience working in educational setting Working with students with additional needs/SEND Experience of meeting stringent deadlines and working to timescales Experience of delivering a high standard of customer care Good ICT skills, specifically in Microsoft Office and Excel Excellent organisational skills Ability to manage workload and prioritise work Excellent communication skills Flexible approach to working hours and duties in order to meet deadlines Commitment to maintenance of high levels of health and safety Commitment and understanding of equality and diversity issues and experience of putting this into practice Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults Flexible approach to working hours and duties in order to meet deadlines
