To assist the HR Manager in providing an efficient and effective Human Resources function within the college including the development, implementation, and monitoring of all HR processes., Recruitment and Selection across the College - recruitment of staff and volunteers in line with college policies & Keeping Children Safe in Education
Processing contract variations/amendments, new starters, and leavers, conducting employment checks and adhering to the relevant on-boarding/off-boarding procedures (Ofsted and Keeping Children Safe in Education)
Support with the Performance Review ensuring that all annual appraisals are completed, Monitor probationary periods for new members of staff
Learning and Development ensuring that all new staff have completed the appropriate/relevant training modules using the Ofsted approved 'Educare' online training system
Employee Relations - assist the HR Manager on all employee relation issues including staff disciplinary, capability, grievance, sickness absence management, redundancy, etc.
Attendance Management - maintain and monitor the self-service HR information system regarding annual leave, approved absences, and sickness absences
Previous experience in an HR generalist role
Previous experience of working with HR Information Systems
Previous experience of handling employee relations issues
Good knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
CIPD Level 3 qualified of part qualified
