HR Manager, 6 month FTC - Disasters Emergency Committee - London with hybrid working

The DEC brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the DEC as they grow and continue to raise invaluable funds for those in need.

Reporting into the Director of Finance and Resources you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the People plan. Your key accountabilities will include:-

  • Reviewing their HR polices and procedures including employment contracts

  • Managing the expansion of the DEC team and future workforce planning

  • Ensuring Equality, Diversity and Inclusion best practice is integrated into the People plan

  • Developing learning and development initiatives

  • Maintaining the DEC culture and values during the period of growth

Candidate Description

You should be an experienced HR Generalist with a track record of reviewing, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in the charity or not for profit sectors. Experience of managing the full employee lifecycle including recruitment needs be combined with strong stakeholder management skills. An ability to work in a fast paced agile environment is essential.
