The Cognizant Infrastructure Services Professional Services (CIS PS) Europe organization provides IT Infrastructure Consulting and Transformation Services to large enterprises across Europe. This organization is a part of the wider Cognizant Infrastructure Services horizontal, and services customers across all industry verticals in the Europe region. The CIS PS organization is made up of several practices, which includes End User Computing, Enterprise Computing, Networking and Service Management Consulting.

The practise provides end-to-end solutions for clients covering architecture, design, implementation, management and on-going support across the entire enterprise technology infrastructure. The services offered include a spectrum of management, consulting and systems integration services to help clients maximize value in their infrastructure resources, while optimizing infrastructure performance and cost

The HP UX SME role sits within the CIS PS practise specialising in transformation services in all aspects related to configuration, virtualisation, migrations, upgrades, monitoring and management etc. The role involves working on large and complex transformation programme throughout the lifecycle of a project.

  • HP UX deployment on legacy HP Superdome technologies

  • Troubleshoot complex design problems and propose recommend design modifications

  • Design, plan and implementation for large scale IT divestment and upgrade projects

  • Integration into legacy infrastructure and cloud

  • Infrastructure testing and acceptance

  • Performance Metrics and analysis

Candidate Description

  • HP UX understanding legacy HP Superdome technologies

  • Strong knowledge of Unix systems in general

  • Experience with IT separations and divestment projects involving HP UX

  • Windows Active Directory intergration

  • Fibre Channel, NFS and SMB share/mounts

  • Exposure to perform RCA on Major issues and minimize Project impacts due to design

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Documentation and knowledge transfer skills

  • BAU methods and processes

    Nice to Have Skills.

  • Knowledge of Rocket Software - Universe application suite

  • Knowledge of cloud storage capabilities (GCP & AWS)

  • Porting of HP-UX applications to Linux.

    Qualifications:

  • Degrees/Certifications Earned

  • Certifications in HP UX and/or relevant experience
