Candidate Description

We are looking for an Engineer/Project Manager to carry out day to day duties within a mechanical services company located at Barking with projects generally within London & the M25 involving air conditioning, ventilation, pipefitting, and heating services.

The ideal candidate needs to be career minded, articulate, punctual, have good communication skills, able to problem solve, work as a team member and be flexible.

In addition to the above we would be looking to train the candidate to a level where they can assist and eventually oversee/manage their own contracts from start to finish which includes attending site meetings, arranging labour, ordering materials, preparing method statements/risk assessments, prepare working drawings, o & m manuals, issuing invoices/applications etc.

Requirements:

• Have a good understanding of associated engineering disciplines

• Take off materials from construction issue drawings & order materials

• Attend site meetings

• Good knowledge/understanding of health & safety

• Able to manage on site engineers to ensure good continuity of work

• Prepare & submit method statements/risk assessments

• Ensure good material flow to projects and have good forward planning skills

• Preferably computer literate

• Must have good telephone manner

• Complete site status reports

• SSMT qualified skills card ideally but not essential

• Driving Licence
