As we enter one of the most exciting times in our history, we're looking for a GCP Delivery Manager to join the Strategic Programmes Delivery Team in Digital and be a part of the new exciting Change operating model. You will be accountable for the coordination and alignment of the GCP initiatives which deliver across both product and programme led activity across the change operating model and beyond., As a GCP Delivery Manager you'll need to be hands-on and goal-oriented with proven experience across both agile and more traditional delivery environments. Reporting into the GCP Programme Manager, success in this role means that you must be able to think strategically and effectively develop key processes that facilitate project planning and execution. This position requires cross-functional coordination at all levels and the ability to manage in a fast paced and ambiguous environment.

As a valued member of the team, you'll be responsible for Program Delivery and Project Management best practice, providing project wrapper for key data migration activities across Virgin Media O2 working cross functionally and within a matrix based organisation. You'll help establish and proactively refine delivery management across the GCP programme (teams and stakeholders) including detailed planning, timelines and execution of work to ensure delivery is transparent, predictable and sustainable, whilst providing value to our customers.

In this role you'll support the GCP Programme Manager with programme governance including but not limited to SteerCo content and facilitation, high level roadmaps, decision tracking, dependency management, status reporting and programme comms to drive successful delivery of the GCP strategic goals. You'll help play a big part in driving the GCP vision and agenda, address tactical delivery issues as they occur and maintain commitments whilst maintaining focus on the strategic direction.

In this role communication is key as you'll need to manage progress against KPIs and project status, while translating technical releases into business capabilities that can be understood by the wider Virgin Media O2 community. As a GCP Delivery Manager it's your job to confidently handle partner's expectations as well as negotiate 3rd party suppliers and all associate communication.

Candidate Description

London (Hammersmith), Reading or Birmingham with flexible working patterns to allow home remote working.,

  • Experience leading projects / programmes of work in digital, data and cloud native environments

  • Good detail planning across teams you directly and indirectly influence

  • Accustomed to working across all levels of the business; from director level to associate colleagues

  • Ability to sell an idea to the organization and get the right buy-in with great presentation skills

  • Confident at presenting concepts and ideas to a wide range of contributors and senior decision makers

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to structure program delivery within a framework that clearly augments the financial and operational goals of the programme

  • Experience in managing business and programme change with solid troubleshooting skills

  • Proven experience in working in a fast-paced product-led tech business

  • Confident in the use of programme management tools and techniques that are appropriate for the situation, partnered with dynamism and flexibility in order to achieve the right outcomes

  • A strong team contributor, ensuring everyone is working on the right things in the right ways

  • Proven delivery of software releases, supplier integrations and complex projects
