Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Former Tenancy Officer to join our Income and Advice Services Team. You will be responsible for prevention and collection of former tenant arrears as well as reconciling accounts and refunding credits when tenancies end.
Working alongside Income Officers, Voids and Lettings and Neighbourhood Teams and making connections with external support agencies, will be providing your customers with the best support, but ultimately to empower your customers to take control and repay any debts.
Candidate Description
Provide a high quality aftercare service. Deliver excellent customer service in line with company values
Strong awareness of the Social Housing and the benefit system and legislation in relation to debt recovery.
Professionalism and organisation skills, the ability to multi-task and manage multiple cases at different stages.
Ability to work with bereaved customers or others in volatile situations, such as those facing eviction.
Building Effective Relationships with your residents, your team and the wider business.
Records and systems
For the above post you will need to have/be:
Solid Experience of Income Recovery or similar work
Excellent customer service skills - with customers to prevent and collect former tenants arrears
Performance - Working with team to maximise revenue, to continue to build new homes as well as refurbish current homes for customers
Excellent Negotiation Skills - Passionate about helping people
Effective Communicator - Warm, friendly and engaging tone of voice, with the ability to adapt approach to each customer
Excellent attention to detail - To Build effective relationships with your residents, your team and the wider business
Computer literate with knowledge of Customer Database (CRM) & Microsoft Office (particularly spreadsheets) on a daily basis
