We are now looking to appoint to the post of Financial Services Manager. The postholder will be responsible for the provision of financial advice to the heads of service and service managers and be a key part of the Council's system of internal control and the production of the Financial Statements, Capital Programme and Treasury Management Strategy and management of the Accountancy and Exchequer services. The individual will be the Deputy CFO and provide financial advice and guidance to elected members.
Acting as the Deputy Section 151 Officer, the role will have five direct reports in the Accountancy Section and five staff in the Exchequer Section.
A CCAB qualified accountant, you will have experience of leading and co-ordinating Budget Setting and monitoring, significant knowledge of the final accounts process and preparation of the Statement of Accounts and a thorough understanding of the key issues facing local government.
