Financial Reporting Manager (EMEA)

  • Managing the financial and management accountants, including workload, performance reviews and all other people management responsibilities as necessary.

  • Overseeing the maintenance of the general ledger and all associated cost/ledger code mapping/masking

  • Overseeing foreign office accounting and financial reporting

  • Reviewing and approving journal entries, system balancing, period end closings, reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, generation of global and local financial statements

  • Liaising with the external auditors as required and overseeing various year end audits

Candidate Description

  • Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with prior experience within a professional services organisation (ideally legal sector) with at least 5 years post qualification experience

  • Have previous experience in leading successful teams, ideally on a global basis

  • Have proficient experience and knowledge surrounding foreign currency remeasurement & translation

  • Be highly self motivated, accurate and detailed orientated with the ability to communicate at all levels of seniority.

  • Have the ability to work to deadlines as well as lead and inspire a team of people at mixed levels of experience

  • Have expert skills using finance systems and be highly able with the use of Microsoft Excel

Reporting into the firms Global Financial Controller, the Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the EMEA finance function. This will cover responsibility for the supervision and workload of employees of general ledger maintenance, period end closing, financial reporting analysis, budgeting & account reconciliation and disbursement entry.
