Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for Employee Relations Advisor to join our team to work on HS2, specifically looking after the Coventry and Leamington Spa area.

Role Purpose:

The individual will provide Employee Relations advice to Balfour Beatty Vinci Line Managers. They will work closely with Human Resourcing Business Partners and Employee Relations (within the parent company) community to provide pragmatic advice and solutions in Employee Relation situations.

What you'll be doing

  • Advise and support BBV managers to effectively manage all employee relations issues such as Conduct, Performance Management, Grievance, Disciplinary and Sickness Absence in line with the HR policy & guidance.

  • Work Proactively with the delivery sublots to manage employee relations within the blue-collar and white-collar workforce.

  • Provide effective advice and support and resolve cases within a timely and proactive manner

  • To liaise with external providers such as Occupational Health efficiently to aid a timely service delivery

  • Understand ER information and context of cases in order to educate, coach and deliver training to line managers through a range of Employee Relations interventions, resulting in their improved understanding and ability to prevent and / or manage future issues

  • Adopt a partnership working approach across the broader Delivery Community, working to deliver a seamless ˜one team™ service to the business

  • Develop positive, collaborative working relationships both internally and externally

Candidate Description

  • Previous experience working within a HR or Employee Relations role

  • CIPD qualified

Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV) is responsible for designing and building part of the most exciting and challenging infrastructure project in Europe: HS2.

We are building the West Midlands section of HS2's Phase One route, spanning approximately 90km from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
