Colleague required to lead the development and implementation of new-build construction projects, large site redevelopments and the enabling works for new partners within the Asda estate., Manage the construction of new-build projects working with external consultants and contractors, implementing business stakeholder requirements.

Develop and implement plans for new 3rd party partners on our sites and in our stores.

Cross-functional working approach with 3rd party tenants, Market Development, Legal, Property, Town Planning, Store Planning, E-Commerce, Cost Management, Property Central Team and external design teams.

Develop implementation plans that minimise disruption to customers, applying learning to future schemes.

  • Ensure there is a commercial lens on all projects, with a clear business case that aligns to departmental P+L / capex plans

  • Compile compelling comms (images / videos / presentations / customer, supplier, colleague feedback) to support engagement and further investment. Communicate clearly and effectively with Retail Colleagues during the development phase of projects and throughout the works.

  • Develop talent / manage performance across the team

  • Manage and resolve latent defects and construction issues that pose a risk to the business.

  • Feedback construction learnings through the Model process to capture them for future schemes.
