The opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Centre as soon as possible as a Deputy Research Manager to:

  • provide project management support to ongoing and new research awards;

  • coordinate the work across the Centre's research projects and activities;

  • support and facilitate the development of new research proposals;

  • work closely with project leads to identify and meet research project needs;

  • contribute to the development of the Centre's research strategy, and

  • where required, deputise for the Centre Manager.

Candidate Description

  • Proven experience of effective project management, ideally for research projects;

  • Experience of working in higher education in a research administration role;

  • Demonstrable experience of devising administrative practice, policy and procedure;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;

  • Capacity to develop and deliver strategy and action plans that take forward agreed priorities; and

  • Evidence of being self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently with limited supervision.
